A team of three Computer Engineering (CPEG) undergraduates won the Gold Award of ASMPT Technology Award 2024 with their final year project titled “Two-Wheeled Security Robot”.
Supervised by Prof. SHI Ling of the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, the CPEG team comprised HUANG Haolun, JIANG Yicheng, and Jason LAM Ka-Ming. With the goal of enhancing security operations in urban environments, they designed and developed a two-wheeled robot with dynamic control, navigation, obstacle avoidance, and interactive capabilities. The robot aims to overcome the limitations of traditional security measures and assist human guards in their tasks.
