Welcome to HKUST Computer Engineering ― CPEG!
HKUST CPEG is an inter-disciplinary program embraced and jointly run by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECE).
The importance of the program is reflected from the names of our constituent departments, where the term "Computer Engineering" is clear and the degree BEng(CPEG) distinctively shows that. In CPEG, you enjoy state-of-the-art facilities and resources from both departments. You can take courses from both departments and interact with our world-class professors trained in MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Oxford, etc. You will be exposed to many computer technologies which will shape your future.
Our program is one of the largest in Hong Kong. Accredited by the professional HKIE (Hong Kong Institution of Engineers), we offer a rich and challenging curriculum for motivated students interested in pursuing an engineering career. With a unique research emphasis and well-equipped laboratories, our forward-looking education teaches you advanced and practical computer technologies and how to make sound decisions in various engineering business environments.
We understand that young and motivated students need the highest degree of curriculum flexibility as they explore their strengths and interests. HKUST CPEG allows you to choose courses from the schools of engineering, business and management, science, and humanities and social science. We also offer a wide range of curricula in regards to minors, honors programs, study options and concentrations.
