The IEEE Hong Kong Section is now calling for applications for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Student Paper Contest 2010. The deadline for submission is 31 Aug 2010.

Prof. Sunghun KIM has been selected for the Software Engineering Innovation Foundation (SEIF) Award 2010 offered by Microsoft Research.

CPEG year-3 student Shi Jiahui, supervised by Prof. Quan Long of the CSE Department, has been awarded Second Prize in the IEEE Hong Kong Section 2009 UG Student Paper Contest for her paper "Real-time Ego-motion Measurement with Stereo Camera & IMU".

CPEG graduate Zhu Shucheng and ECE graduate Wang Mingyu received Second Class Award in the 11th Challenge Cup Competition of Science Achievement for their project titled "GPS Robotic Water Analyzer". The Challenge Cup Competition of Science Achievement is reputed as the Chinese Olympics of Science and Technology among Chinese college students, covering the fields of management, social science, energy source subject, science and technology, etc.
