Industrial Training
Acquiring Practical Skills
All Computer Engineering students are required to take Practical Training, known at HKUST as Industrial Training as a compulsory graduation requirement. The training is designed to enable students to gain a sound and broad practical understanding of computer-focused technologies and applications through hands-on experience.

Content and Organization
Industrial Training is commonly organized in 2 sections. The first section involves mainly hardware related training scheduled in 1 week during the winter break of the first year at Hong Kong Polytechnic University Industrial Center (HKPUIC). The second section involves mainly software related training scheduled in 3 weeks during the winter break of the second year at HKUST Industrial Training Center (ITC).

More information about the Industrial Training is available in the Industrial Training website.
